Different Pace, Different Place

i want for you to grow up she said but i know that thats not true
who isn't afraid of facing change and feeling something new
it's been quite a ride for nineteen long hard years
it was great while it lasted and now the end is oh so near

i'm packing up i'm moving out say goodbye to mom and dad
thanks for all you've done for me and the luxuries i have had
well i won't be far i know but it's a whole new lifestyle
i'll get used to it even if it takes a little while

time to move on and get out of this town
i won't be gone forever but i'm not gonna stick around
i know it might be hard and didn't think it would be so soon
a different pace, different place, but i can sit and watch the same old moon

scrounge for all i've got to fill up the new place
anything to fill up blank walls and empty space
when we finish up we can enjoy our company
i like this life already, just wait and you will see

a different place a different pace a world thats new and free
time for a new space to discover my own luxuries
i'm getting out of this town who knows how long i'll be gone
i'll find the things that i'm been looking for and then you'll sing along...
